June 16, 2011, in the afternoon, Professor Zhu Zhichang, the University of Hull, UK, gave an academic report entitled "Contemporary Systems Movement " at conference room 216 of the main building.
Systems thinking and methods are of great significance to contemporary complex social problem-solving and policy formulation. Professor Zhu Zhichang summarized the background of contemporary movement system, process, critical thinking and academic origins, the value and significance of systems thinking to solve problems in China. In addition, Professor Zhu focuses on a different paradigm of systems thinking, systems approach, and comprehensive applications.
