"Top Ten College Students" is the highest individual honor from the School of Management and Economics. Since its launch in 1996, this selection has established over a hundred outstanding students role models in 19 years. The selection emphasizes the socialist core value system education, improving the excellent traditional Chinese culture education, and enhancing students' social responsibility, innovation and practical ability. It recognizes a total of ten individuals under the awards of scientific research, art, athlete, entrepreneurship, self-exemplary, pioneer, integrity, academic achivement, community service, and management.
In early April 2017, the School of Management and Economics held a Top Ten College Students awards ceremony on Liangxiang campus. Zhang Rui, Secretary of the Communist Youth League, and Zhuang Jie, 2016 Counselor, attended the ceremony and presented the awards for the winners. The award winners came to stage to accept the award and shared their experiences. The award ceremony drew a successful conclusion to the 2016 annual "Top ten college students" selection activities.
